Broadcasting, Radio and Media Volunteer (16+) (Central Walsall)

Volunteers are offered fully funded training in Broadcasting and Radio.  Tasks can include collecting local news and event articles for Walsall.  Collecting info on Whats on in Walsall, will be shown how to prepare music, start a show, how to use the equipment, will be mentored.  Volunteers must be a Walsall Resident and have the Right to Work in the UK to qualify for the free training.  Other languages in addition to English encouraged, Radio is 9-5pm on weekdays.  Possibility of some volunteering from home is available but otherwise from the office in Central Walsall.

Volunteers to be outgoing with good communication skills and be able to work as part of a team. Be responsible with good language skills.  Have a passion for Music and Community.

The charity is unable to pay travel expenses at this time.  Please note that there is no disability access to the upstairs studio.

Ambur Radio

Ambur Radio 99.4FM is a community station based in the heart of Walsall in the Midlands.  It was launched on the 1st July 2009. We recognised the importance of reaching out to all ethnic minorities in the community and we are categorised as one of the first multicultural community station.
