Partnerships
This page outlines just some of the great work that we do with our partners.
Black Country Together CIC was founded in 2013 by the four Councils for Voluntary Service in the Black Country with the aim of increasing levels of funding coming into our sub-region and fostering greater co-operation and collaboration between voluntary organisations and local statutory agencies both within and across borough boundaries.
In 2014, Black Country Together was awarded £2 million by Arts Council England to develop, manage and deliver Creative Black Country that invests in the talent, appetite and potential of the people in the Black Country to engage in the arts for the next 3 years and beyond.
Walsall Together is a partnership of health, social, housing, voluntary and community organisations, working together to improve physical and mental health outcomes, promote wellbeing and reduce inequalities across the borough.
Local voluntary organisations, charities, community groups and the people of Walsall will be at the centre of our planning and decision-making.
The intention is to understand the Borough’s population better, so that partners can better support people and the communities they live in, to manage their own health and well-being needs, prevent ill health and live happier lives.
Walsall Together Partners:
In 2019, the Arts Council and the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) supported the creation of 20 Cultural Compacts.
These Compacts are partnerships designed to support the local cultural sector and enhance its contribution to development, with a special emphasis on cross-sector engagement beyond the cultural sector itself and the local authority.
In 2023, One Walsall agreed to host the Compact and is developing a range of opportunities for partners and creatives across the Borough to get involved.
