Trustee

The C.C Walker Charity is looking to recruit up to five Trustees to sit on the Board of Trustees.

About the role
The Trustees are the key decision makers of the Charity and they alone make decisions on:
- Grant giving to individuals seeking assistance;
- Financial oversight and scrutiny;
- Charity governance and strategic direction.

The Charity usually meets five times a year with the AGM scheduled in January of every calendar year.

Key Requirements:
- You must reside in the Borough of Walsall.
- An interest in making a difference to children and young people in Walsall.
- Previous experience as a Trustees of a Charity is not essential.

Since 1938, the C.C Walker Charity has helped children and young people in Walsall fulfil their potential. The Charity provides financial assistance towards the advancement of education for children and young people under the age of 25 in Walsall in the form of grant funding. This includes financial assistance towards tuition fees and other course costs as well as school uniforms. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the Charity’s history and make a difference to the lives of children and young people in the Borough.

The Charity can help individuals who are:
Under the age of 25
Living or studying in Walsall
Had deceased parents or surviving parents in a fixed place of residence since the birth of the child in Walsall.
