Digital Sessions Facilitator

About the role

The role will involve working on-site in schools and community centres with children, young adults and wider community to facilitate structured play/tech sessions using age-appropriate games and technology, including but not limited to PlayStations, Virtual Reality Headsets, Robots, 3D pens, 3D printers.

Training can/will be provided .

Skills required:

  • Applicants should be suitable for working with children (DBS checks will be necessary and a clean record is a must). We can organise the DBS checks for the right candidates, should they not have a current one.
  • Able to relate well to children and adults.
  • Good literacy/numeracy skills.
  • Confident communication and interpersonal skills, with high energy and a confident approach
  • Able to use own initiative.
  • Able to work constructively as part of a small team.
  • Patience, tact and diplomacy.
  • Experience addressing groups.
  • Creative and used to working with children.

LearnPlay Foundation (LPF) is not for profit organisation (with asset lock) that is constituted with Members without shareholding. The company was established in 2007 with the overarching ambition to make a difference to people’s lives from all communities, but particularly those that are facing adversity, disadvantage, exclusion and marginalisation due to a range of socio-economic & environmental factors and/or physical, mental health/multifaceted needs.

  • enabling digital inclusion & access to digital & creative skills in addition to delivering learning, technical & soft skills in engaging and compelling ways using gamification & creative digital media to break down barriers & capture hearts & minds with the end goal being to move people towards further learning, creative pathways & economic activity.
  • developing & curating social change & community led projects which provide social value.
  • exposing communities to cutting edge technology via guided sessions to explore the art of the possible via a digital sand pit approach

We understand digital and have used and exploited it as a core component in everything that we do. We have introduced young people & communities of all ages to basic IT familiarisation through to advanced digital activities such as graphics design, video production, interactive games design and augmented & virtual reality solutions.
