We’re looking for a friendly, reliable volunteer to help keep our community space clean, tidy, and welcoming for everyone. The space is used by children, young people, and adults with neurodivergent (ND) conditions, so maintaining a calm, hygienic, and sensory-considerate environment is essential. Your help will ensure that everyone who visits feels comfortable, safe, and respected.


Key Responsibilities:
•    Clean and tidy shared areas including floors, tables, chairs, and equipment.
•    Wipe down surfaces, doors, and handles to maintain good hygiene.
•    Empty bins and manage recycling responsibly.
•    Check and restock essential supplies (soap, paper towels, etc.).
•    Maintain sensory-friendly spaces (e.g., avoid strong scents, be mindful of noise levels).
•    Report any maintenance or safety issues to the Project Manager.
•    Work as part of a supportive team that values inclusion and respect.

 

Skills Required:

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
  • Attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean space.
  • Understanding, patience, and sensitivity toward neurodivergent individuals.
  • Respect for confidentiality and community guidelines.

No formal cleaning experience is necessary — full guidance and support will be provided

  • To support the parents/carers of children, young people and adults who have a diagnosis or are seeking a diagnosis of neurological/neurodevelopmental conditions.
  • To support children, young people and adults who are seeking a diagnosis/diagnosed with a neurological/neurodevelopmental condition. 
  • Provide group support and sessions to support, empower and develop an understanding of neurological/neurodevelopmental conditions, so that families can confidently support their child’s development throughout life.
