Voice

One Walsall seeks to amplify the voice of members in a range of forums, events and via various platforms.

One Walsall hosts a number of quarterly forums which members and wider stakeholder and partners are able to share ideas, and information. 

Forums aim to promote the Voluntary and Community Sector within Walsall by:

  • Promoting partnership working and networking in the sector and with other agencies
  • To share and promote best practice
  • To consider and respond, where appropriate, to consultations, new research and evidence, and reports
  • Promoting volunteering as a worthwhile and rewarding activity
  • The Forums aims will be to support all members through an annual program providing information, updates and on-going professional development
  • Enabling voluntary and community groups to come together to exchange information, share ideas and address issues of mutual interest and importance
  • Facilitate dialogue between organisation and to develop links with prospective partners 
  • Giving the sector a bigger voice and more effective representation at a strategic level
  • Influencing local strategies that will bring community benefit
  • Making best use of sector skills, resources, information and expertise by working co-operatively
  • Membership of the forum is open to representatives of voluntary and community organisations in Walsall and individuals from interested parties. if you are interested in joining a forum please make contact with us

The format of Forum meeting is a mix of Presentations, Consultations, Networking and Partnerships working together for a stronger community voice.
