Sutton Park Challenge Volunteer Marshall
Role details and requirements
Midland Mencap’s fabulous annual Sutton Park Challenge Run takes place on Sunday 4 October.
The team is looking for friendly and enthusiastic volunteers to support the event for approximately four hours. Volunteer opportunities include marshalling the routes, welcoming competitors and supporters, helping to set up and run the registration tent and runners’ village, supporting the music station, and helping with the clear-up at the end of the event.
Marshals and event volunteers play a vital role in helping the team achieve its fundraising goals, while making the day special, safe and memorable for everyone involved.
Midland Mencap is passionate about making the event as accessible and inclusive as possible. Whether participants choose to run, walk or push someone else in a wheelchair, the event provides a fantastic opportunity for everyone to challenge themselves.
This is a small event with a huge heart, featuring three races to ensure everyone can take part: 10K, 5K and 1K.
Competitors are sponsored to take part, with all funds raised supporting the vital work of Midland Mencap for people with disabilities and their family carers.
