Advocate
Role details and requirements
Stand up for the voices, choices and rights of disabled and disadvantaged people in Birmingham and Walsall.
A Volunteer Advocacy role offers a unique chance to receive free high quality in depth training in order to enter into an advocacy partnership with an individual who requires support to speak up about their wishes, understand their rights, be listened to and access services they require.
In this role you can make a real difference to disabled and disadvantaged people’s lives and promote equality and inclusion.
We never give advice or decide for people, instead we work in partnership with the people we support to together overcome barriers, resolve issues and to help people make changes in their lives.
We will give you full training and support. You will need to provide an application, 2 references and undertake a DBS (criminal record check) that we pay for.
