Urgent and Emergency Care Centre Responder(Age 18 +)
Role details and requirements
This role will be located within the brand new Urgent and Emergency Care Centre which will be opening soon.
Outline of tasks/duties for this role:
- Providing food & drinks to patients and visitors as appropriate.
- Support staff wellbeing by providing light refreshments.
- Signposting and directing patients and visitors around the department.
- Assisting staff to keep the environment pleasant and attractive.
- Collecting and delivering items to and from the department.
- Promoting the Friends and Family Test survey to patients and their families.
- Additional tasks as required by the department and within the scope of a volunteer role.
Ideally volunteers will attend in a regular slot for this role however we can discuss flexibility and we do have other volunteer roles which are more flexible.

An enhanced DBS is required. Organisation will pay for this.
Travel costs are covered an a meal allowance is available for those volunteering more than 5 hours in one shift.
