Bumblebee Champion

Role description:
Support Bumblebee Conservation Trust (BBCT) staff and/or volunteers to plan, set up and run walks/talks/stalls/activities at community events; raising awareness about bumblebees, their importance and what people can do to help their survival. 

Main tasks:

  • Engage people of all ages in activities; talk to public about bumblebees and micro-actions they can take to help bumblebees; distribute BBCT literature
  • Assist with/lead hands-on/family activities including bumblebee safari walks and bumblebee inspired talks
  • Assist with the planning and preparation of activities
  • Assist with/supervise the setting up at events. Such as tables, equipment, displays, literature and activities
  • Keep records of activities as required
