Walsall Council is seeking the voluntary and community sector’s views on a draft Community Asset Transfer (CAT) Policy. The purpose of the policy is to provide a transparent mechanism to transfer of land or buildings in to community ownership/management, where it identifies this as the best use of the asset. The draft policy and supporting documents are below and describe in more detail how and when a CAT might be offered, how proposals will be sought and assessed, the outcomes the Council will expect this to achieve, and the type organisation that may be eligible. You can find more general information about Community Asset Transfers on the My Community website.
We would be grateful if you could complete the short survey below, which should take no more than five minutes to complete. Your views are required by Sunday 5 August.
