The Haven Wolverhampton established in 1973 provides safe, temporary accommodation for women and children who are homeless for reasons such as Domestic Violence and who seek emergency accommodation. The Haven Wolverhampton is looking for a Trainer to play a key role in increasing our capacity to externally deliver our package of unique domestic violence and abuse training courses. Our courses include: Modern Day Slavery; Coercive Control; Domestic Violence Perpetrator Programme – Outcomes for Victims; Stalking; Parenting skills for non-abusive parents.
The Trainer will work alongside our Training Co-ordinator and will be responsible for growing and increasing the reach of our training programme as well as delivering a programme of learning activities; planning, preparing and researching lessons; delivering agreed course materials on an individual or group basis; checking and assessing participants contribution and giving feedback and reporting promptly on attendance and non-attendance of courses.
The successful candidate will have experience in delivering training on a one to one basis or in groups along with experience in creating new courses from planning and creating the course outline and script, through to dry run, pilot and delivery to user group. The candidate will have excellent customer facing, interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to share expertise with others; excellent presentation skill and the ability to create training materials in a variety of formals including MS Word and PowerPoint. It is a key requirement of the role to be able to delivery training at different sites and locations therefor it is essential to have access to a car.
