|Purpose of the role|
|One Walsall provides infrastructure and support for the borough’s voluntary and community sector organisations. We are an independent charity providing support to help local voluntary and community organisations develop and sustain their activities and engage residents in voluntary action. We are a small, energetic team committed to our aim of supporting a strong voluntary and community sector and inspiring local social action.
The Partnerships Manager is responsible for developing and supporting the voluntary sector’s engagement in strategic activities and developments in the borough. The role will be responsible for developing and facilitating a Leaders Forum, bringing together key sector agencies and increasing the breadth of voluntary sector involvement in strategic and partnership working arrangements with public and private sector agencies. The role will also involve leading on, and supporting senior colleagues with, the development of strategic partnerships within the voluntary sector and across sectors.
Key attributes we are seeking from candidates include:
· Significant experience in a senior management position within a voluntary or social enterprise sector organisation
· Experience of successful partnership working and the interpersonal skills to influence partners and stakeholders including local public bodies
· Success in business development and a track record of securing high-value funding, particularly through public sector commissioning
· Knowledge of different partnership and collaborative working models and how to apply them effectively.
