The Haven Wolverhampton established in 1973 provides safe, temporary accommodation for women and children who are homeless for reasons such as Domestic Violence and who seek emergency accommodation. Human Resources Officer
£22,440 pro rata per annum
22.5 hours per week
Six Month Temporary Position (Potential to become a Permanent Position)
As Human Resources Officer you will pro-actively ensure that The Haven Wolverhampton complies with its Human Resources policies and procedures, and employment legislation by co-ordinating and assisting the Senior Management Team and line managers on a day-to-day basis with all Human Resources Activities. You will provide people management advice and guidance to the Senior Management Team, line managers and employees on a day to day basis ensuring that Human Resources policies and procedures, employment legislation and overall standards are applied fairly, reasonable and consistently across The Haven.
You will provide support to with all aspects of recruitment and selection, identifying training and development needs for staff ensuring the effective implementation of The Haven’s Training plan and supporting managers and staff to actively manage employee performance activities such as probationary reviews, absence management and quarterly development reviews. You will also pro-actively support managers on managing employee relations issues including disciplinary, grievances and change management processes in line with The Haven’s policies and procedures. You will also work closely with the Finance and Business Support Manager to assist with the correct processing of monthly payroll
You will have a minimum CIPD Level 3 Certificate in Human Resources Practice or equivalent and demonstrable experience of working within a Human Resources environment providing advice and support to managers and staff on HR matters ensuring the adherence of policies and procedures along with up to date working knowledge of employment legislation. Working as part of a team and individual along with excellent communication skills you will be able to establish working relationships with managers and staff whilst ensuring that confidentiality is maintained.
