Community Outreach Officer (Natural Prospects)
To develop a broad referral base of community projects and other programmes from across Birmingham and the Black Country to encourage potential candidates to apply for traineeships with Natural Prospects, a Heritage Lottery Funded (HLF) project that aims to address two barriers to entering employment in the nature conservation sector: lack of diversity of applicants and the shortage of practical land management skills.
£24,659 pro rata per annum FTE (Actual salary £4,932 over 4 months)
Hours of Work
3 days per week (0.6 FTE): 22.5 hours per week. Overtime is not paid but time off in lieu may be taken where appropriate.
Duration of post
Fixed Term Contract for 4 months from May to end of August. Probationary period of 1 month.
Place of work
Based at the Trust’s Head Office at 16 Greenfield Crescent, Edgbaston, Birmingham, B15 3AU, but the post will be required to work at other Trust sites including Centre of the Earth at 42 Norman Street, Winson Green, Birmingham B18 7EP and at various community locations around Birmingham and the Black Country.
