The Black Country Transforming Care Partnership is undertaking workshops to shape services for children and young people with learning disabilities (or learning disabilities and autism) with behaviour that challenges. To shape the services, we need to hear from people who have lived experience, as you will know best what is needed.
We want your help to develop the component parts of a service (what are the ‘things’ that should be done) that could be wrapped around a child/young person and their family and support them to live in their homes and communities and lead a good life in their own community.
During the event, participants will work in small groups with a facilitator who will take you through a series of questions that aim to help you tell us what things should make up care services at different points of a child’s or young person’s life. Outputs from the workshop will be used to shape a framework for what services should look like and will guide development of services for the future.
