Meet the Small Groups Team
Our mission is to ‘help the small groups in Walsall change the world’.
(charges apply to non members)
What do we mean by small groups?
This is where traditionally most of the work of a not-for-profit development organisation lies – organisations whose income is £100,000 or below with either few or no paid staff.
How can we help?
By giving advice, guidance and training on all aspects of starting and running a not-for-profit group. For example;
- How to start a group
- Governing documents
- Legal structures
- Policies & procedures
- Project planning & delivery
- Business (larger scale) planning for your group
- Options for funding
- Sources of grant funding
- Writing funding applications
- Contracts with local government
- Polices & procedure to comply with law and good practice
- How to market your organization
- Using modern social media
Our staff team has over 33 years’ experience between them and have worked with all kinds of groups:
We can provide: one-to-one support through meetings, email or telephone; training sessions; a variety of help and how-to guides.
