Do you work with young people (up to 25 yrs) in Walsall?
Are you interested in tackling youth crime?
Do you want us all to have a bigger impact on youth crime?
Are you interested in learning with other professionals, from a variety of organisations, but are tired of ‘training days’ and online learning packages?
Then you’ll probably be interested in a new group being formed for 2019. We are bringing together professionals from all professions and disciplines , who can impact on youth crime in their work, and want to explore together how we can work together to make our communities and young people safer. We plan to meet approx. once every month or so, only want volunteers to join us (we’re confident your employer will support you coming in work time), and the group as a whole will decide how we move forward. We want members to want to learn, be open to new ideas and perspectives, and be prepared to try doing things a little differently between meetings.
(If you’re aware of action learning sets, communities of practice or journal clubs, then this group will have similarities: but the final detail of how we work will be in the hands of the members.)
Our initial meeting will be in Walsall Town Centre (exact location TBD)
from 12-2pm on Friday 17th May 2019.
