Grants are available to support local charitable causes in the Black Country region.
The Geoff Hill Charitable Trust was set up by businessman Geoff Hill MBE to support local charitable purposes in the Black Country region, including individual cases of special need/hardship or distress. The Trustees have continued to administer the Trust on this basis after Geoff Hill passed away in November 2018.
Who can apply
Organisations and groups with charitable aims, operating in the Black Country region are eligible to apply.
Previous grants have been awarded to groups such as:
- Scout groups.
- Sports clubs.
- Children’s charities.
- Community organisations.
Funding can be used for a variety of costs associated with charitable projects in areas including but not limited to:
• Advancement of health or saving of lives.
• Prevention or relief of poverty.
• Religious activities.
• Amateur sport.
Match funding is not a requirement.
When and how to apply
Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
Applications should be made in writing to the Trust.
