Funding is at the discretion of the Trustees. Grants range from £2,000 to £15,000, with most in the £2,500 to £5,000 range.
The Grimmitt Trust offers grants to registered charities and charitable organisations active in Birmingham City, Dudley, Walsall and Wolverhampton.
Funding is intended to support local organisations carrying out projects in the following areas:
- Children and youth.
- Culture and education.
- Older people.
- Relief of those in need overseas.
Applications can be made at any time.
Registered charities and other charitable organisations based and working in Birmingham City, Dudley, Walsall and Wolverhampton can apply.
Most of the grants are awarded for community projects, followed by cultural and educational, children and youth, medical and health, the elderly and with only a few for overseas projects.
The following are not eligible for funding:
- National charities.
- Social enterprises.
- Community Interest Companies (CIC).
The Trust does not maintain a website or a formal application form.
Applications must be made in writing to the Grimmitt Trust.
