About this Event
Isolation and Befriending Themed OW Forum
Isolation has a devastating on the mental and physical health of people and is has been on the increase for some time as we change the way we interact. Covid 19 has increased the amount of people who are living in isolation dramatically and so has the harm that people are living with.
The forum will include: examples of successful projects that seek to diminish isolation in the community, information on potential funders and how One Walsall can support organizations and activities, opportunities to meet and talk to practitioners.
Before the coronavirus a popular part of the One Voice Forums was time allocated so that organizations could talk to others about what they were doing and what was upcoming. This helped not-for-profits in Walsall keep informed so that they can pass on this information to their clients and also present opportunities for working in partnership.
These sessions will have a very simple agenda – Speakers and a round robin for any groups that have any information that they want to pass on or an opportunity to comment that we can feed back to the sector. Initially they are going to based by the localities across Walsall, but we are going to take direction from our groups on this format.
