One Walsall is working alongside partners to help establish a Coronavirus Support Network in each of Walsall’s four localities.
This will help coordinate and support the community’s response to the coronavirus outbreak. Our website has been updated to help us capture the details of the activity being delivered within communities, and to help communities’ access relevant support to deliver safe and effective local action. We urge you all to check our website regularly for the latest guidance and information, and to offer your support.
If your organisation or group would like to be part of a local Support Network and explore options for mobilising local support for vulnerable people, please complete this form. You can also tell us about the impact the virus and social distancing measures are likely to have on your organisation or group.
If you are interested in registering as an individual volunteer to help support local vulnerable people, please complete this form.
If you register your interest in volunteering, or ask for help with your local community activity, please don’t be disheartened if you don’t hear back from us immediately. We are working hard to make sure the right offer is matched to the right need and we will contact you as we can. But we will contact you.
It is vitally important that you are aware of how to recognise safeguarding issues that you may come across while supporting the community. It is also important that you know how to keep safe if you are self-isolating. Click here for further information.
Guidance, support and advice – we will continuously update the website with relevant advice, guidance, tools and other resources to support local community action whilst keeping staff, volunteers and those you support safe. Click here to access the current information.
