Grants for clubs, community groups and regions across the UK with an active interest in wider canoeing participation.
Grants are typically between £2,500 and £5,000 although exceptional projects are considered and funding application for between £2,000 and £10,000 can be submitted.
The principle functions of the Canoe Foundation are to raise money; inform and educate; and allocate funds, in line with its main purpose to “support all to enjoy and benefit from the experience of paddling on our water in a sustainable manner”. The Foundation does this through grant making that facilitates improvements to suitable landing and launching points and by promoting the conservation of inland waterways, rivers, oceans and the environment, whilst allowing water users from all sectors of the community to have an enjoyable and readily accessible experience.
The funding is for projects that will improve accessibility to waterways and facilities thereby enabling greater use of them. There is particular interest in enabling enhanced participation in paddle sports for all people.
The next deadline for applications is 31 August 2020. Clubs and community groups based in the UK can apply.
